Well its been a long time since I last posted here on my blog. I’ve been busy with lots of things (went to Houston, had cousins visit, summer homework) and as a result have ended up neglecting to post, but I have not forgotten about my blog yet. During the entire time I had not posted, I was looking for ways to customize my blog, to make it more unique to myself. I have looked into HTML, CSS, and am thinking about learning Ruby on Rails. I hope to post more once school starts and I get back into a regular daily schedule. I plan to upload some more photos next week after I move into my new dorm room.

I have been bogged down with lots of things to do this past month or so (Lots of school work due to school closure ,Finals, Violin Lessons, Going to graduation to take photos and cropping them). Later tonight I need to go up to UNT for TAMS orientation and won’t get back until tomorrow night. I will be posting quite a few things this next week for the long break I took.

Due to my studying for the AP World History test I won’t be able to post anything for the next week or so. After that I hope I will be able to post more frequently and eventually be able to at least post once per day.

A few weeks ago I personally developed my first roll of film. Was a fun and interesting experience, and here’s a brief explanation into the process. You start off by rolling the film onto metal reels in complete darkness which is pretty difficult. One mistake and you can lose many photographs. After reeling your film you place it into a tank which you develop it in. Developing is a long process which takes many chemicals and takes up to 30 minutes or more to finish. If you want a more in depth process there is one located here. After you let the film dry you cut it up into strips of negatives and store them in a negative storage sheet. Continue Reading

School Closed Due to Swine Flu 2009/05/02

It seems like my school district decided to close down all the schools in my area due to H1N1(“Swine Flu”). It is a bit exciting to get a week off from school, but when I get back it won’t be fun trying to finish every thing I need to learn in the limited time left. What also bothers me is that I have an AP exam 4 days after I get back to school. I personally think its just over hyped, but who knows? Maybe the virus might mutate into an Ebola like disease.

TAMS Papers, Post Acceptance 2009/04/15

To all those who received their acceptance letters from TAMS, congratulations. For all those who did not, its not the end of the world. There are many great opportunities and experiences at your current school. I have mixed feelings about going to TAMS because of what I have yet to possibly do at my school.

Even though I have already finished submitting all my papers for registration, I now have to submit yet another packet of papers ranging from housing plans and student information all to financial aid. It took a while to get them all submitted but now that I am done I just need to wait for the summer orientation in June. I hope I will have a better digital camera by then so I can take pictures to upload for those who want to see them.

Have been bogged down by all the work I have been doing lately (trying to get a better work ethic so I do not procrastinate as much ^^;). For all those who have been accepted, can not wait to meet you guys up at North Texas. I hope to be able to get along with all of you.

So I decided to go watch Dragonball Evolution with some of my friends of the laughs knowing that the movie was going to suck. I enjoyed it only because it was so corny, cheesy and bad that it was funny like one of those B rate horror movies where its obvious what is going on. The best part of the movie wasn’t even in the movie. It was a part of a trailer that aired before the movie. I don’t know whether it was on purpose or not but the Admiral Ackbar reference in the Battle for Terra trailer had me laughing there for a bit when one of the characters yelled out “Its a trap!!!”

The story was very rushed and didn’t live up to the original, and this is coming from someone who was only seen occasional episodes of the Dragonball series. If you have some time to kill I recommend going to watch the movie just for laughs.

Way behind on this post with promises on twitter for days. Midterms kept me bogged down for a while. For those who had TAMS interviews this past week I hope you enjoyed it and had a great time. Wishing for the best for you guys.

Last week me and my friends gathered and finished our armor we decided to make for extra credit. It all started when our teacher, in the middle of class, said if we felt like making armor she would give us extra credit. Continue Reading
